3SATL is India’s largest spring maker for automotive applications. The group has incubated new age platforms in Defence/National Security and Electric Vehicle components.

Active R&D centre under technical assistance from Mitsubishi Steel Mfg. Co. Japan for Suspension springs and Stabilizer bar, Murata Spring Co. Japan, for Engine Valve Springs, Circular Springs & Togo Japan for Engine Hose Clamps.

OUR HISTORY

1960

Shri. Machani Somappa with a handful of clients, machines and a few good men invited the world renowned manufacturer of springs Stumpp and Schuele GmBH to join him in the setting up of a spring manufacturing unit in India.

Born in the town of Yemmiganur, he became President of All India Handloom during & introduced various initiatives that improved the lives of countless weavers.

He was awarded India’s first PADMA SHRI award for his epochal work in year 1954

1960

Stumpp, Schuele, And Somappa Springs (SSSS) is established in Bengaluru (then Bangalore) as a premier spring manufacturer as a joint venture with Stumpp & Schuele of Germany.

1981, 1991, 2001, 2005

SSSS expands its manufacturing footprint across the Indian subcontinent with new plants in Gurgaon, Chennai and two plants in Bangalore.

2007

SSSS becomes 100% Indian-owned with a buyout of Stumpp & Schuele GMBH by Indian owners

Satish Machani

CHAIRMAN AND MANAGING DIRECTOR

With over 25 years of experience in the automobiles industry, with an emphasis on technology transformation and diversification, Satish works closely with state and central government agencies, Auto industry lobby groups, and international OEMs to promote the interests of Indian R&D across the manufacturing value chain. He is responsible for new verticals which include SSS Electric and SSS Defence.

Group CFO – Executive Director

Ramakrishnan Subramanian (Ramki) is a seasoned finance leader with extensive experience in strategic finance, capital markets, and corporate governance. He has held senior leadership roles at PwC, Quess Corp, Sansera Engineering, and leading global organisations. He brings strong expertise in IPO advisory, investor relations, financial planning, and operational excellence. At 3S Applied Technologies Ltd., he serves as Executive Director, Group CFO & CS, leading the company’s financial strategy and capital market readiness. Known for his strategic approach and sound financial judgment, Ramki focuses on creating sustainable growth and long-term value.

Anil Machani

President - Operations

With over 26 years of experience, Anil leads the new era in SSSS with innovation and growth at the core. He comes with expertise in WCM, TPM, and TQM concepts and previously served as President for the RNAIPL Vendor Forum.

Ashok Kumar Nayak

Senior Vice President

Ashok comes with a combined 27 years of experience with rich expertise in Costing and Finance, Project Management, and Marketing. Previously he spearheaded SAP implementation at BEML and is currently a member of ICWA.

Sam holds a stupendous experience of 25yrs in the fields of Sales, Marketing, Materials & Business Development. A thorough expert in strategic planning, vendor development & people management. He is known for augmenting growth, generating new businesses and managing techno commercial marketing.

Thirumal Palle

Senior Vice President

Trained in Lean Manufacturing and Quality Systems, Thirumal has over 25 years of experience in Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Product Processes. He is a member of the ACMA RM Committee and has worked on Brown and Greenfield projects at SSSS.

MN Uma

Senior General Manager

With expertise in Instrumentation and Technology, Uma comes with 3 decades of rich experiences in Business Development and Product Development. She is responsible for the continued market growth of SSSS among Tier 1 OEMs and is a major player in our export business.

Punith S

GENERAL MANAGER

Punith has been with SSSS for close to 14 years and comes with numerous specialized certifications. From Metallurgy and Product Design to Dynamic Analysis and materials, his contributions over a short period of time are commendable. He is also an active member of the Institute of Spring Technology, UK.

Murugesan K.

Senior Vice President - Operation

Murugesan K. brings over 28 years of multifunctional experience across OEMs and leading automotive industries. He has strong expertise in driving manufacturing excellence through the implementation of TPM, TQM, Lean Manufacturing, and LCA, with a proven focus on achieving benchmark PQCDSM targets. He has hands-on experience in managing Greenfield and Brownfield projects, including the implementation of new technologies, processes, and manufacturing systems to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and overall business performance.

HR Head - Human Resources and Industrial Relations

Manjunath B P brings over 18 years of HR experience, specializing in Human Resources and Industrial Relations. He oversees HR operations at SSSS India plants, focusing on compliance, recruitment, training, and employee safety. He plays a key role in driving Performance-Based Career Progression and fostering an inclusive work environment.

Indivillage

SSSS channels all CSR efforts through its umbrella company, IndiVillage. Started in 2009 in direct response to Dr. Abdul Kalam’s advice for corporates to give back to society and focus on rural India, Indivillage helps provide jobs to rural youth and women so that they are prepared to be independent and empowered. IndiVillage offers IT and ITeS services and reinvests profits back into the society and into the villages.

Machani Ramanna drinking water services

Established in 2015 by MG Charities, the Machani Ramanna Drinking Water Services provides clean and safe drinking water to people in Yemmiganur town and surrounding villages.More than 2000 families and 2500 school children benefit from the clean drinking water every day.

MSR english medium primary school

The Machani Shanthamma Ramanna English Medium School is an upper primary school that provides education in the Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh. The school not only provides education free of cost but also free breakfast and tea time snacks for all the children. The school is well equipped and technologically advanced.
